At Mechanics of Movement we assess lower limb function for complex lower limb problems.

Our specialty is in finding the key constraints responsible for ongoing lower limb issues that aren't responding to rehabilitation.

This is done with our 'RunScreen' Assessment.

RunScreen: Lower Limb Capacity & Coordination Assessment.

RunScreen objectively measures lower limb and tendon spring function to gain clear insight into the capacity and coordination profile of the lower limb.

Who is this for?

Complex Lower Limb Case/Second Opinion

Seen 2-3 clinicians and still stuck. You need objective data on why you keep breaking down.

Repeat Niggle Runner

Calf, hip, knee or achilles pain keeps returning. Pain may or may not be present, but capacity hasn't been restored.

Returning to run/sport post injury

Get objective data on your lower limb function and readiness to return to running whilst reducing the risk of re-injury.

Parent of uncoordinated child

Child fatigues fast, trips often, runs with inefficient mechanics. You want more clarity, not "they'll grow out of it."

Masters athlete

Lost spring/jump capacity, or feeling slower and heavier on foot. After objective metrics to help guide training.

This is NOT for:

Anyone with an acute injury or recent surgery.

If this is the case we will happily assist with referral for acute rehabilitation to other trusted providers.

How it works:

1. Assessment - 60 minute force plate, movement analysis and coordination/capacity assessment. Identify key contributing constraints and prescribe key exercise intervention

2. Re-test 4-6 weeks later to re-measure and monitor change.

Fees

$180 per visit.

Availability

Consultations are available Tuesdays and Saturday morning.
